About Mollie B. events

MollieB. Events is an event planning company that strives to design and execute extraordinary spaces.  They look forward to bringing clients visions to life by planning, organizing and overseeing all aspects of events.  Their experience and expertise is invaluable and they pride themselves on turning dreams into reality.

Owner and operator, Marian (Ollie) Banks is a native of Los Angeles California with Southern roots from Mississippi.  Marian has spent the last 27 years in Corporate America and In 2014 she followed her heart and launched MollieB.Events in honor of her mother who passed of cancer in 2007.  It was her mother’s love, passion and creativity for all things related to events and party planning that inspired and sparked her own passion in this field at a young age.

The dream was to one day retire and open a business together doing what they both loved.  So to honor the bond they shared, MollieB, as she was affectionately called by her mom which derived from her maiden and married name, took a Leap of Faith and pursued that dream on a part time basis. 

Fast forward to 2019 after a long fulling and rewarding career of analyzing and problem solving the time had come for Marian to shift gears and finally JUMP into the exciting world of event planning full time.  Marian is fueled by her passion for creating and strives to provide unique memorable experiences for her clients.  

Currently residing in Aurora IL, Marian is married to her husband Lamarcus and has 3 children, Xavier (17), Amari (15) and Joseph (27).

MollieB. Events has planned several cultural events ( including Nigerian, Indian and Hispanic) and available to travel as needed.    They are energetic, highly motivated and look forward to making dreams come true.
